BEHAVIOUR POLICY

At Elevate, we want every player to enjoy their football, develop their skills and become better athletes in a positive and supportive environment.

We’re introducing this policy so that our expectations are clear for both players and parents. Our aim is to make sure every child gets the most from their Elevate session, while ensuring that one player's behaviour doesn't negatively affect the wider group.

Our coaches are responsible for creating a safe, respectful and focused environment where everyone has the opportunity to learn, improve and enjoy their football.

Our 3 Coaching Rules

Every player attending an Elevate session is expected to follow three simple rules:

1. Listen when coaches are talking.
Players are expected to stop, listen and pay attention when a coach is speaking or giving instructions.

2. Respect our equipment.
Players must use all Elevate equipment safely and appropriately and treat it with respect.

3. Respect each other.
Players must treat coaches and fellow players with respect. Bullying, aggression, deliberately disrupting others, inappropriate language or behaviour will not be accepted.

What happens if a player doesn't follow the rules?

We understand that children will sometimes lose focus, become distracted or make mistakes. Our coaches will always aim to deal with these situations calmly and positively.

Where appropriate, the following process will be used:

1.Reminder.

The coach will remind the player of the relevant rule and give them the opportunity to correct their behaviour.

2. Warning.

If the behaviour continues, the player will receive a clear warning and may be temporarily removed from the activity to allow them to reset and refocus.

3. Removal from session.
If a player's behaviour continues to negatively affect the safety, wellbeing, experience or development of other players, the player will be asked to leave the session.

4: Membership Termination.
If disruptive or inappropriate behaviour becomes recurring, we will contact the player's parent or guardian to discuss the issue and where necessary, we will cancel the players membership.

Our commitment to players

We want players to feel welcome, supported and able to enjoy their football at Elevate.

Our aim is not to remove players for making occasional mistakes or losing focus. We will always give players the opportunity to understand what is expected and improve their behaviour.

However, we also have a responsibility to the whole group. One player's behaviour should not prevent other players from listening, learning, enjoying their football or getting the most from their session.

We will always aim to communicate openly with parents and give players the opportunity to improve. However, continued attendance at Elevate is dependent on players behaving appropriately and respecting our three coaching rules.

The safety and wellbeing of all players is our priority.

As outlined in our Terms & Conditions:

“We reserve the right to remove anyone displaying bullying, disruptive, or inappropriate behaviour.”
By enrolling a player at Elevate, parents/guardians acknowledge these expectations and understand that continued attendance is dependent on players behaving appropriately and respecting the three Elevate coaching rules.
